Our Tjene team joins Holland BloorviewKids Rehabilitation Hospital for our 5th Capes for Kids fundraiser! Holland Bloorview is Canada's largest pediatric rehabilitation hospital in Toronto, providing facilities, support, resources and various programs to help many families who have children with disabilities. We are so glad to have the opportunity to give back to our community through Holland Bloorview's annual Capes for Kids fundraiser.
Check out the short video below of the various activities our team participated in to help fundraise.
This year, the fundraiser included activities such as weekly competitions between different Tjene project teams, a raffle, as well as challenges for every fundraising milestone that was reached. Together, we raised a total of $5,200 to support the children, families and staff at Holland Bloorview.
Holland Bloorview works to create a world of possibilities by supporting children and youth living with disability, medical complexity, illness and injury. Each year more than 8,300 kids and youth come through their doors to receive innovative treatments, therapies and specialized programs and services.
"The Capes for Kids events we had at Tjene were a lot of fun! It was a great time participating in fun office challenges while raising money and awareness for kids and youth with disabilities and complex medical needs."

"The Capes for Kids fundraising event was an amazing celebration of Tjene Spirit where Tjeners had the opportunity to gather together and compete towards a great cause, supporting our children and youth with disabilities. Just like each team challenge, putting on a cape meant so much more than just a fun activity. Putting on your cape and channelling your inner superhero symbolized our search to always strive for better and stronger. To push yourself to the absolute limit and not accept defeat against all odds. I am lucky and proud of the work that we have done to create a lasting impact on this important cause!"
