This coming month on June 1, 2021, marks Holland Bloorview's third Breakfast with the Board event with their guest speaker, Jason Rowe, the Chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs Canada. Rowe will be sharing his advice on topics around ignoring the noise, doing the work, and learning to believe in yourself - all while figuring out what you want to do with your life. Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is hosting their annual Capes for Kids Fundraiser this March! For the past two years, our Tjene Team has dedicated one week in March towards fundraising for Holland Bloorview's campaign. Our team had participated in fundraising activities like completing challenges once milestones were hit and holding a full week of breakfast at the office. On February 2, 2021, our Managing Partner at Tjene, Calvin Yoa, will be interviewing the President of BASF Canada, Marcelo Lu at Holland Bloorview's fundraising initiative, Breakfast with the Board. Holland Bloorview's Catalyst Council hosts their second event for Breakfast with the Board, a speaker series to network and help raise funds for Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.
On February 27, 2020, our team attended Holland Bloorview’s Capes for Kids’ Launch Event at the Belgian Moon Brewery in Stackt Market! On February 8, 2020, along with several other Toronto corporations, Tjene participated in a beach volleyball tournament hosted by Icewave at North Beach Indoor Volleyball Academy. Our team played and competed against corporations from different industries all with the same hope to get SickKids one step closer to reaching their goal to raise $1.3 billion to build a new hospital.
Tjene partners with Village Eulogia - a Toronto-based charity for families with special needs, in hosting their annual fundraising event at the Toronto Zoo!
On Thursday, June 22nd, our Tjene team participated in our second Bloorview Bowlers fundraising event. Various companies across Toronto came together for a friendly competition, great music, as well as food and beverages to support Holland Bloorview and their continual programs and services they provide to many children and youth.
On Friday, June 9th, 2023, our Tjene team joined One Million Trees Mississauga for our fifth tree planting event. This year, we planted a total of 125 trees at Mississauga's Huron Park, which brings our team's total count to 653 trees planted to date!
Our Tjene team joins Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital for our 5th Capes for Kids fundraiser! Holland Bloorview is Canada's largest pediatric rehabilitation hospital in Toronto, providing facilities, support, resources and various programs to help many families who have children with disabilities. We are so glad to have the opportunity to give back to our community through Holland Bloorview's annual Capes for Kids fundraiser.
